May 14th, 2015

So, today I did a photo shoot for a buddy of mine (black shirt) that I work with. He's in the music business and creates his own music and raps to it as well. I think it's pretty neat how his mind can work like that. I've never seen someone in person just make up a rap out of nowhere, it had me intrigued almost. So these are my two favorite photo's from that photo shoot. Sorry about the drug use, but I think it adds character.

May 11th, 2015

So I found this gem while thumbing through some photo's that I had made last year. This one was from my high school's homecoming game. I was sitting pretty close to the sideline's, which I usually don't do, but this night was different. I knew that the home team (purple) would score a touchdown, no question about it, So, I decided I'd position myself close to the end zone so I could get a shot of a touchdown. This happened to be the second score of the game and it is one of my most favorite images I've ever shot.

May 8th, 2015

I like this photo for two main reasons: One: It captures the emotion of the coach and also catches the flying dirt in mid-air. Two: It's an image of my high school softball team kicking ass against their rivals. The girl in the white (opposing team) missed the ball and was trying to grab it and the girl in the purple slid in to third base and the coach was freaking out, and he made sure that the girl was safe.

Start of the Blog

Hey everyone in the world who might be looking at this! I'm starting this blog today, and I'm not exactly sure how it's going to go. This blog is going to be about me and my everyday life as a photographer and as a person. I will post any photo that I may capture (or sets of photo's, depending on what I like) and give you guys a background story on how I got that image. Some of these stories may be complex, other's may be as simple as, I just felt like taking this picture. I own a Canon EOS 60D with a regular kit lens (18-135mm f/3.5-f/5.6 IS), a 70-200mm f/2.8L USM, and a fisheye lens. I love sports photography, but I’m trying to broaden my horizons a bit.

Taken north of Laurel, Montana, May 5, 2015. I was driving home from school and noticed this huge cloud coming in towards me. So I thought, "Heck, why not, I got nothing better to do." So i drove to the top of this hill and got out of my car and shot this image. I kind of watched it and waited to see if this thing would produce any awesome thunderstorms, but unfortunately it did nothing. Just rain really. I did send this into my local news station at KTVQ, and they did feature it in their 5:30 news weather skit.
